Intellectual Property Theft refers to the unauthorized use, reverse engineering, decompilation, repurposing, wrapping, or distribution of GroupDocs products. These actions:
- Violate the End User License Agreement (EULA)
- Infringe on copyright and intellectual property rights
- May result in legal enforcement and penalties
Unauthorized usage also compromises product integrity and harms our customers and ecosystem.
Using pirated, modified, or unlicensed GroupDocs software exposes users and organizations to critical risks:
- 🚫 No access to official updates, security patches, or technical support
- 🛡️ Increased exposure to malware, trojans, and insecure code
- ⚖️ Legal action, including monetary fines or forced shutdown of services
- 🧯 Sudden operational failure due to license blacklisting or enforcement
In legal cases, offenders may be required to remove the software, disclose usage, or terminate business activities related to the violation.
Signs of unauthorized use or replication of GroupDocs software may include:
- 🧩 Matching API signatures or user-facing documentation mimicking GroupDocs
- 🖼️ Watermarks, license expiration warnings, or GroupDocs metadata in output files
- 🧪 Identical output results that match the behavior of official GroupDocs products
To avoid unintentional misuse, consult the EULA and validate any integration sources or libraries you use.
